January 2026
Greetings!
My first newsletter. This is an exciting step for me! I look forward to sharing permaculture solutions; as I am an unapologetic permaculture geek.
In the newsletter there will be updates on event happenings, other times will be less formal, more free flowing. I listen to permaculture/gardening podcasts ALOT and look forward to sharing the ones that truly resonate with me.
Additionally, There are some amazing books I keep in my personal library that are worthy of sharing. We don’t need to reinvent the wheel when the information is literally at our finger tips in hard copy.
Of course, sometimes I just need to muse.
Garden musings for January:
Though winter weather causes many gardeners to stay inside, now is the time to get serious about annual and perennial garden planning. It’s fun to draw a diagram of your garden if you haven’t already done so and brainstorm about your bounty last year. Did you grow all of the types of plants that you would've liked? Did you harvest too little? Too much? Garden journals are a great way of keeping track of this information.
My garden journal is just simple graph paper. I take it out and dream of spring planting at least four or five times during the winter. This gives me an idea of how many plants to start indoors.
Speaking of seeds, catalogs are arriving in the mail and mine is used for dreaming my 2026 garden into place. If you would like to try a regional organic, nonGMO seed company, you can request a catalog from High Mowing Seeds. They’re a trusted source for herbs, vegetables, cover crops, and flowers.

Also, included in the presentation will be ways to grow food, build up soil, reduce water usage, and build natural habitat. For a map to the event follow the link to my website.)
Should you need a personal permaculture consultation, I invite you to schedule one anytime of the year at my All Things Regenerative website. I recommend online during the winter season; but truly my favorite option is to visit you, face-to-face.
