Build a More Resilient Landscape from the Ground Up
Register for the workshop at Spokane Conservation District. Whether you’re caring for a backyard garden, a rural property, or a shared community space, permaculture offers practical strategies to create healthier, more self-sustaining ecosystems.
Join Mary Bishop for an engaging workshop exploring how permaculture principles can be applied to landscapes of all sizes. Learn how thoughtful design can help you grow healthy food, improve soil health, reduce dependence on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, support pollinators and wildlife, and increase resilience in a changing climate.
This workshop will also introduce fire-hardening strategies for residential landscapes and highlight local resources available to support your ongoing permaculture journey.
About the Speaker
Mary Bishop is a Permaculture Design Consultant serving residential homeowners, small acreages, and community gardens throughout the Inland Northwest. She earned both her Permaculture Design Certificate and Advanced Permaculture Design Certificate for Climate Resilience through Oregon State University.
Before transitioning into consulting work, Mary spent 25 years as a public-school teacher. When she’s not helping others design regenerative landscapes, she can often be found building her own food forest and volunteering with community gardens.
